One of the great all-round chickens!  A great layer & table-bird that is beautiful to look at & has a wonderful temperament.  You would be hard-pressed to find a better chook for the backyard.
Origins and History:
Behavior: A gentle, docile, friendly chook that can be prone to bullying in a mixed flock.
Rarity: Rare

Brooding: Can be broody & is a good mother.
Hardiness: They are cold hardy & robust but, due to foot feathering, require dry accommodation.
