Why can't I see my name on the front page after I have registered ?

The listing on the front page is a list of those people that have added available stock, or those that have recently edited available stock. Add some available stock - or click on the available stock you have and save it again.

I don't understand what you mean by available stock

Basically you have your listing. To that listing you add the stock that you have - this is called available stock. You can add many types of available stock, one for each breed and/or age that you have.

I added my listing but it is not visible when I do a search

Make sure that you have the site published. This will be a link in your breeders control panel. Log into your listing and look for the message at the top of the control panel. Red means you are unpublished and invisible - Green means you are published and publicly visible.

I want to hide my site for a while, but don't want to go through the effort of deleting it or I only breed a few times a year and don't want to be bugged by people contacting me when I am not breeding

You can unpublish your site from the breeders control panel. Log into your listing and click on the link on the far right column.

Why can't I list a breed and include list of ages at one time ?

You can. Just select "Other" for the age of the poultry and put an entry in the description describing the range of poultry ages you have.

Why can't I select multiple breeds in an available stock listing ?

The application wasn't really designed this way - maybe this feature could be added in the future if requested by many people. In any case listing out a breed for each entry makes it easier to browse for users.
